St. Mary's Halt

St.Mary's Halt, so named after the church opposite the platform, still retains its original cast iron lattice bridge since opening in 1892.

Alight St Mary's Halt to wander around the adjoining lake or see St.Mary's Church, or perhaps to take a longer walk into Lydney Town along the canal path, rejoining a later train at Lydney Town station.

The bridge is currently closed for repairs but you can get to the church via the footpath from St Mary’s Halt to the level crossing on Lydney Bypass
