Lydney Junction - Severn & Wye Station

Lydney Junction platform sign

Lydney Junction is the southern terminus of the Dean Forest Railway. Lydney Junction has been rebuilt to provide two platforms for trains working to Norchard and Parkend and allowing a stabling point for trains on show on special event days.

Lydney Junction is a comfortable 10 minutes walk from the mainline railway station for our rail-borne visitors, and is the place to alight for the walk down to the remains of Lydney Harbour with splendid views of the upper Severn estuary and the bridges downstream.

DFDA Diesels

Lydney Junction is home to a variety of privately owned diesel locomotives under restoration.
