3947 Planet 0-4-0 Diesel Mechanical
 
This is a light industrial locomotive designed for use in factory sidings, gas, electricity or water works, docks or breweries. It was built in 1960 by Frank Hibberd & Co.Ltd, Park Royal, London and delivered to Midland Silicones Ltd, Barry, Glamorgan (later Dow Corning).
 
 
This locomotive was originally fitted with a water exhaust scrubber to eliminate sparks in a chemical works environment (this is no longer fitted).
 
This locomotive was returned to service in 2001 and has been used for shunting duties and brake van rides at some special events at the Dean Forest Railway.
