Parkend Station
2006 saw the official opening of the line through to Parkend by HRH Princess Royal and the station is now open to visitors.

It makes a superb backdrop for railway photography and brings passengers right into the Forest.

There are real ale pubs nearby and a guide to local walks has been published by the DMU Group (our diesel railcar restoration group)and is on sale at the station.

RSPB Nagshead reserve is also within walking distance.
