The Future
After many years' hard work and planning, trains finally rolled into Parkend for the 2006 season.

As a volunteer run railway, manpower is not always as plentiful as would be liked.

On-going maintenance and a larger volunteer operating team will be needed to run the longer line from now on

Looking further forward, track alterations are in the pipeline to further improve our timetable and train operating experience, plus improvements ongoing along the length of the line. Our aspiration is now to extend northwards through the Forest. Why not join us to help?
Parkend ready and waiting...

Norchard High-Level platform enables visitors to travel to Parkend direct from Norchard Steam Centre

Tufts Bridge has been a long expensive exercise to replace, but is now finally complete
