Where to stay and Tourist Information
The Official Forest of Dean Tourism web site has a list of accommodation in the Forest of Dean to suit all budgets, plus lots of other useful information for visitors to the area:

Alternatively, you can telephone the local Tourist Information Centre on +44 (0)1594 812388.

Dogs are welcome on our trains (but not on 'Santa Specials' or 'Day out with Thomas' please unless Guide Dogs). All that we ask is that they are kept on a lead and do not sit on the seats and that you try to keep them from obstructing the aisles!

We are sorry there are NO TOILETS on our trains, but with adequate facilities, including a disabled toilet at both Norchard Steam Centre, Lydney Junction and Parkend, you should not be caught short for long.
Visitors with special needs are catered for with space on all trains for wheelchairs. Please call before your visit if you have any particular needs or concerns you would like answered on: 01594 845840. We will be only too pleased to help.
The disabled toilet at Norchard also has a baby changing facility. There is a unisex toilet for Coaches Cafe customers at the end of the diners' seating coach.
On train operating days Lydney Junction has three unisex toilets open in the building on the platform. One of these is larger with an access ramp for disabled passengers in wheelchairs.

In Bathurst park, not far from Lydney Town station, there are public toilets.

We are sorry there are NO TOILETS on our trains, but with adequate facilities at Norchard, Lydney Junction and Parkend you should not be caught short for long.
